› Export:
For export, about 180 to 200 kg of processed tobacco is packed in cartons and sealed with 3 to 4 plastic straps. Polythene paper sheets are used as liners inside. Sometimes packing material is changed and procedure also varies based on customer requirement.
› Domestic:
For domestic, also known as bale board packing, about 80 to 100 kg of processed tobacco is pressed between two wooden boards and tied with 2 to 3 galvanized iron wires and covered with a gunny bag. In some cases tobacco is packed in bales and thoroughly tied with a rope.
